Description
STARmed RFA
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is an ablative technology that uses thermal energy to induce cell death. The technology has been used for nearly three decades with an extensive body of evidence. RFA can be used percutaneously with imaging guidance by Interventional Radiologists, and by surgeons either laparoscopically or in the OR in an open setting. RFA is now used in the treatment, both curative and palliative, for the thermal coagulation necrosis of soft tissues throughout the body. STARmed technology is an Internally Cooling System that can deliver between 200 watts to 400 watts at 480kHz, and it works on either Temperature or Impedance mode.
